If you plan to move to Lilongwe, first impression you are
going to have about the place is that it is a pleasant green place with sunny
atmosphere and tree-lined roads! I would suggest you to go after November when
it is rainy season here! Heavy Rains, nice thunderstorms, and yeah the greenery
is obviously there all around the year! Lilongwe is a developed place with
immense employment opportunities, and if you ever get a chance to be employed,
do not miss it!
For a first couple of
days you would be feeling elated with the vibrant atmosphere, decent
people and the nice landscape, you might wish to forget all your weary time
blues, wherever you just peep out of your apartment window down the street
which is bustling with colors every time you
look down. But if you are not used to humidity, be prepared of a bit
heat because when the Rains are over I March, there is just the sun and you,
until the next November, there are hardly any rains in between that time. Unexpected rains and storms are scarce and
sometimes you may feel like nostalgic to it!
Commuting is really easy and you would love it soon.
Accommodation is easy to find as they let you hire your apartments without much
inspection! Most of the houses are same sized with small gardens and well to do
suburbs. But the entire town is not the
same way! There are narrow pavements and potholes, and yeah, untidy roads with
heaps of rubbish accumulated.
As a matter of fact Lilongwe is a place which offers you
diversity of lifestyle. It is a place where you are going to experience almost
everything good as well as bad. But you really do not need to panic. The masses
are extremely hospitable and they seem to have gone nice on knowing you are a
foreigner!
It is not just moving, for which Lilongwe should
be considered! If you are searching for a destination where you can spend your
holiday with a tinge of simplicity in a homely manner! Not immense frolic and
noise, not just wandering nd meandering all the time, a place wheer you can get
a niche, you can sleep, come at balcony and see
non familiarized spectacles, and finally when you can feel like an
outing come out and explore the beautiful side of Lilongwe. Try exploring eth
old tow with a new and unique kind of architecture and an array of shops and
bars! Just have a stroll and you would feel good. Lilongwe Wildlife center is also a good place
to spend a few hours . Old town mall is
a good place for those searching for souvenirs but with a classical tinge.
There is much you can do but you merely need tickets to Lilongwe for heading
over to this place, which is good and different from all other destinations!
